100+ Donor Strategy for Social Media

Social media has exploded over the past decade as a way for businesses to market their products or services to their audience. Nonprofits also utilize this platform to gain new donors. There are many ways to market on social media. Here is a step by step guide to one successful approach to marketing on social media.

For our RoundUp App nonprofits, don’t forget, the most important tool is your custom donor registration link – always include it on all posts.

Step 1

Announce your goals! Donors are more inclined to participate in new ways of donating when they have an understanding of what you are asking for and why. Tip: Clearly explain the need and impact of the RoundUp donations.

Step 2

Update your cover photo promoting RoundUp App.Tip: This becomes a notification on your follower’s newsfeed, creating another touch point for them to be reminded to sign up as a donor.

Step 3

Engage in multiple ways. Create an Event to drive attention.Tip: At the event, in-person or virtual, walk donors through how to sign up all at once. You have a captive audience to act now!

Step 4

Update your donors on your progress. Donors like to know they are participating in something important and that their contributions matter. Tip: Using a visual to show progress catches attention better than the caption.
